I’m Still Here
I’m Still Here is a track about the part of heartbreak nobody writes songs for – the part where you’re fine, mostly, until a song comes on too slow or you see a name on a paper bag outside a corner store and suddenly you’re standing there deciding not to run. It’s not collapse. It’s just quiet, and that’s harder sometimes.
The writing stays close to small things – a number you never dial, cold coffee, cracked-screen light at the same hour. Nothing is overstated because it doesn’t need to be. The weight is already there in the details, and adding more would only push it further away.
Musically the track sits in a soft indie pop lane – restrained, warm, built more around presence than production. The chorus is meant to feel like something you could half-sing under your breath without noticing. That’s the intention anyway. Persistence dressed up as simplicity.
This one’s for anyone who’s ever stood somewhere familiar with their hands in their pockets, not breaking, not running – just staying.
