Descent
Descent begins where control still feels possible. Harpsichord patterns move with cold, mechanical clarity — structured, deliberate, almost untouchable. But something beneath the surface is already pulling. The rhythm begins to slip. Friction builds where there was once only precision.
Strings tighten and accelerate as brass and percussion start working against each other. The destabilization isn’t chaos — it’s something more unsettling. The kind of unraveling that follows its own internal logic, that was always going to happen this way. High violins climb into registers that feel like heat rather than melody.
The ending doesn’t mourn what’s lost. It simply arrives. The brightness fades. The dust settles. Gravity, as always, gets the final word.
